Rated 2 out of 5 by Chevyguy123 from Case Okay, screen protector is not Bought this case a month ago or so knowing I'd need protection for my S8+, I'm normally a lifeproof case guy but since they hadnt released one yet thought id try this. My first problem is that you had to buy the case and screen protector separately, I understand some people want to touch the screen, but I think they should have made multiple versions of this case with the screen protector built right in or did better research on how the two work together. When the screen protector and case arrived I put the screen protector on properly right away, then attempted to put the case on, it seems like the case was made for the phone without the added thickness of the screen protector in mind so you actually have to force the snaps together to make it work. Although it looked a little stressed and the bottom had a gap due to not having any snaps there it more or less worked. After 3 days I started having troubles connecting my finger with the screen underneath the screen protector, it seems the case is just too small that it pinches the sides of the screen protector together with enough force that it flexed the screen protector right off the phone in the center. I took the case off. Reset it and did it back up and it worked again. But have had to continuously do this every few days since. Then yesterday when the phone was sitting in a very loose pocket, I pulled it out to find the edge of the screen protector had now cracked down the length of the phone. Right along the screens "curved edge". Needless to say I'm not super impressed. Among other small issues like the lock button being stiff even after a month, dust getting between the screen protector and the glass coming through the earpiece hole, and not having any sort of cover over the camera/fingerprint sensor etc. I wouldn't recommend this case for anyone wanting a heavier duty durable case. Without the screen protector in it would probably serve well as a general light duty case protecting the corners of the phone from bumps. Hope this helps any future "hard on phone" users looking for good protection.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Emtdave21 from First day with defender and otter box screen prot Today I bought a Samsung Galaxy s 8+ with the otterbox defender cases case and otterbox screen protector. Both were installed at the store I bought them from by an employee. [ cspire] I almost immediately noticed an issue while trying to type a message the sides of the screen were difficult to use. I could feel the screen protector move as I pressed on the screen. I took the outer shell off and noticed that the hard shell was not able to seal completely. This is beyond frustrating after spending over $100 on the case. I have always used otterbox but I can't see staying loyal to them when the quality of the case has plummeted and the price has skyrocketed.

About everyday I have to take my phone out of the case cause the screen protector keeps Popping out on one side or the other. Then the camera gets full of dust cause they don't have a screen protector on it anymore. It's almost a shame that I spend a hundred dollars and it doesn't work right. Definitely going with a lifeproof case once there Released .

Provided my Note 4 with Excellent protection specially for outdoor activities. Now with the Galaxy S8 Plus is another story it provides good protection for the phone itself but the screen is totally unprotected. I know is a curve screen but the idea of using the defender cover is for that exactly. Otter missed the boat on this one.
