Summer 2009: OtterBox Snapshots.

Summer is officially over. Does this mean that the outdoor fun has to end? At OtterBox, the end of the summer season brings not an end to the outdoor fun, but rather a new set of outdoor challenges. Needless to say, we had a GREAT season full of golfing, biking, climbing and...big wheeling. Check out some photos below of our employees in action! Until next summer, we'll see ya'll on the SLOPES or the snowshoe trails!

Climbing at Crystal Wall (Poudre Canyon)

Matt Glanzer is not only a talented Mechanical Engineer for OtterBox, but he's also one HECK of a sport climber. Here he is in June of 2009, at Crystal Wall in the Poudre Canyon. Fort Collins, Colorado is SURROUNDED by world-class climbing spots. This is a huge bonus for our Otters who love to scale rock walls!

Biking to company meetings

OtterBox employees love to bike. They live for it. For the August 2009 company meeting, a bunch of Otters decided to get together and do their part to cut down on harmful auto emissions. Not only do the Otters bike to off-site meetings, but a lot of the employees ride their bikes to work every day too.

Golfing Tournament through PVH and MCR

When a golf challenge arises, OtterBox answers the call. Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital put on a golf tournament back in June 2009. Golfers pictured are (from left to right): Jon Schild, Eric Land, Jason Thompson and Mike Soderholm. All proceeds went to the Medical Center of the Rockies Foundation Health Trust.

SuperStars Sports Challenge

Partners Mentoring Youth is an organization that our very own Shane Rabideau is involved with. When they (Partners Mentoring Youth) said that they were throwing a SuperStar Sports Challenge, OtterBox quickly got a team together to BRING IT. The competition consisted of fundraising, Bocce Ball, Volleyball, Dodgeball and a Big Wheel Relay Race. OtterBox took FIRST PLACE in the challenge. While having fun and dominating the competition, the team also raised funds and awareness for this wonderful local organization.
