
Senior Java Developer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to lead a team in implementing the OpenTaps ERP. Experience with leading a large implementation, business knowledge including accounting, CRM and MRP, and previous work implementing open source software are all preferred. The ideal candidate will have a positive, professional attitude, be willing to learn, contribute to our team and have the flexibility to adapt quickly during periods of rapid change. This position MUST work from our Fort Collins, CO location.
Responsibilities:
- Work with outside consulting firm to get replacement ERP/CRM system customized and implemented.
- Ensure software is able to accommodate current users (approximately 100) and future growth (300+ users).
- Work with other members of the IT team to import and export data from the ERP as needed.
- Work with the other departments in the company to develop new features for the ERP/CRM system as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair bugs and problems.
- Work to increase productivity and profitability for the company as a whole.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Five or more years experience with Java 5 is required, including Apache Tomcat, Jakarta, JavaBeans, Scriptlets, and JDBC.
- Familiarity with WSDL/SOAP/XML, and HTML.
- Familiarity with Linux command line.
- Project management experience, especially working with an outside development team, desired.
- Proficient in modern software engineering principles, languages, software frameworks, and server software and studious in emerging technologies and trends.
- Understanding of relational database concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with code-versioning software such as Subversion or CVS desirable.
- Ability to read, understand and implement 3rd party APIs to integrate outside technologies desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
