Why can't the iPAQ connect to a serial peripheral attached to the serial pod?
Connect your serial peripheral to the serial pod in the same manner as you would connect it to a PC. If a serial cable was supplied with the peripheral to connect it to a PC, use that same cable to connect it to the serial pod. A common mistake is to use a null modem cable to connect the peripheral to the serial pod. To troubleshoot this connection, verify that the peripheral will operate properly when connected to the serial port on a PC. If it does not work when connected to a PC, the problem is not with the serial pod. If it operates properly with a PC, disconnect it from the PC and connect it to the serial pod using the same cables and/or adapters. If it still doesn't work, verify the peripheral software is properly installed on the iPAQ.
