I am having issues with hearing the internal Speakers when my iPod 3rd generation touch is in the OtterBox cases.

The iPod® touch 3rd generation has internal speakers. While none of our cases fully accommodate the internal speakers, the sound will transmit through our Impact™ and Defender™ Series cases. For optimal sound quality however, OtterBox recommends headphone use. The internal speakers of the iPod touch 3rd generation do not function with the Armor™ Series case. Because the iPod touch Armor Series includes a headphone jack within the case, the device senses that it is plugged into headphones, therefore disabling the internal speakers.
