The iPod® touch 3rd generation is completely usable in the Impact™, Defender™ and Armor™ Series iPod touch cases. However, because the light sensor is located in a different position between the iPod touch models, the iPod touch 3rd generation light sensor is not exposed in these cases. Users can disable the auto-brightness feature in the iPod touch “settings” menu and the device will maintain continual background brightness.
