iPod Nano

iPod nano (4th Generation)

The iPod nano 4th generation, released in September of 2008, is quite different from the iPod nano 3rd generation. This iPod is tall and slender, as opposed to the short, square look of the 3rd gen. This model still offers the user video capabilities, but it comes in 8 and 16GB capacities (the 3rd gen only came in 4 and 8GB capacities). The iPod nano 4th generation comes in white, black, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, pink and (PRODUCT) red. We have THREE different cases for the iPod nano 4th generation: The Armor Series, Defender Series, and Impact Series. OtterBox does not make a case for the iPod Nano 5th Generation (with video).
iPod nano 3RD GENERATION

iPod nano (3rd Generation)

The iPod nano 3rd Generation was released in 2007 and is quite different from the iPod Nano 2nd Generation. The 3rd Generation nano features a widescreen display with color, and has VIDEO capabilities. None of the older iPod nano models have video capabilities. The iPod nano 3rd Generation comes in teal, red, silver, green and black. You can also distinguish the iPod nano 3rd Generation by the last 3 digits of the serial number. If the last 3 digits are YOP, YOR, YXR, YXT, YXV or YXX, you have an iPod Nano 3rd Generation.

Both models feature a 3.5 inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and both come in 8GB, 16GB or 32GB capacities. With this iPod, you can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos and movies. This iPod looks similar to the iPhone, but it WILL NOT fit into the iPhone cases. iPhone 3G

iPhone 3G and 3GS

The iPhone 3G was released in 2008 and the iPhone 3GS was released in 2009. Both have 3G technology, GPS navigation, and only come in black or white. The back of the iPhone 3G is a glossy plastic material, whereas the 1st Generation iPhone has a matte silver back. If your iPhone has GPS, you have yourself an iPhone 3G. If your iPhone has GPS AND video capabilities, you have an iPhone 3GS.

1st Generation iPhone

iPhone (1st Generation)

The 1ST GENERATION iPhone, released in 2007, is different from the iPhone 3G in a couple of ways. First, the back of the 1st Generation iPhone is a matte silver color, whereas the iPhone 3G's back comes only in glossy black or glossy pearl white. Also, the 1st Generation iPhone does not come with 3G Technology and has no GPS navigation system. If your iPhone doesn't have GPS and has a matte silver back, you have a 1st Generation iPhone.
