Does not live up to "Otterbox" reputation
I hate to say this is junk, but this is junk. I have owned this case for about 6 months. The rubber button and surround is flaking off. The plastic broke on the bottom (where earphone plug is). The case constantly came apart when removed from a snug location (like a pocket). After a while as I slid the case back on the plastic protector on the face of the phone started to peal off. This case is a mess. This is my 4th otterbox and have not had these design/quality issues with the other cases.

not as nice as other OtterBox cases I have owned
I have the Reflex case for iPhone 4 and have been very happy with it.
When I moved to an iPhone 5, I didn't even consider any other cases, I knew I wanted to start with the Reflex.
When I received the Reflex case for iPhone 5, I was disappointed. It fits very loosely on the phone and the top and bottom sections of the case do not really lock together like they do on the iPhone 4 version. Sometimes, the case comes apart just from me taking the phone out of my pocket.
The volume buttons are very hard to press through this case and the ring/silent switch is also hard to operate with this case on.
The top and bottom of this case flex a lot. this hasn't caused any problem yet but it feels cheap and has me concerned that this case won't hold up to normal use.

Not Impressed
I had this same case for my Iphone 4 and I LOVED it! Tis case on the other hand im not to happy with. The case seems alot flimsier then the case i had on my 4. Im honestly afraid of the first time i accidently drop my phone that this case wont do anythingto protect it. I dropped my 4 multiple times and NEVER worried about it. Also not to pleased with how easy the bottom slides off. I went to take my phone off the charger and the bottom was on the floor.

Absolutely Terrible
I had the Reflex series for iphone 4, and so I couldn't wait for the reflex for iphone 5 to come out. As if it wasn't bad enought that Otterbox didn't have this case ready for the release date, and FINALLY released it MONTHS later, it's awful...and way too expensive. It is hardly any thinner than the iphone 4 version, even though the iphone 5 is way thinner. Within a week, the side of my iphone had a huge gouge in it from removing the case, a so called good feature that this case has. Within another month, the other half scratched the side of my iphone. Also within a month, the case had cracked along the side opposite of where it scratched the heck out of my phone. Oh yeah, and I dropped it on my carpeted floor at home, and now my iphone won't turn on....
Otterbox really really dropped the ball on this one.

Q:
Instead of using this screen shield, can I use my own screen shield. Even if my screen shield is made for cases? For example zagg invisibleShield extreme?7 months ago
Answers
A:
Yes, you may use screen protectors other than the one included with your case. The included screen protector is fitted to the screen of the device, so you'll want to make sure your screen protector is cut to the same dimensions or smaller. You'll want to make sure that the screen protector does not interfere with the Reflex Series case sliding on and off your phone, as that may make the edges of the screen protector come loose.7 months ago
Q:
Is it just your normal screen protector that you could get anywhere else?7 months ago
Answers
A:
I would say that it seems to be a "normal" screen protector. The one that came with the Reflex case is a nice protector and seems to be holding up well. It also extends out to the edge of the display and the edges of the screen protector are covered by the front edge of the case, which keeps the screen protector from getting pulled up in the corners.2 weeks, 5 days ago

The self-adhering screen protector included with the Reflex Series cases is a thin, clear piece of plastic that has a sticky backing to keep it attached to your device. It is form-fitted to the device's screen with holes for the earpiece, front-facing camera, and button.7 months ago
Q:
The Reflex series for the iPhone 4/4S had a soft pad on the inside and I was wondering if this case had the same? I really liked having that. I felt as if it helped keep the phone from getting scratched up while sliding the case and during normal wear and tear.7 months ago

The case has a rubber strip that runs around the perimeter of the case on the back side. inside the case, this rubber strip is elevated a bit and it looks like the this strip is the only part of the case that contacts the back of the phone.2 weeks, 5 days ago
A:
Rather than have the felt liner the case has been designed so that the only part of the case that comes in contact with the device Is the silicone. You will experience the same scratch free operation with a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.4 weeks ago
Q:
I know this is subjective, but I have had a case like this (granted it wasn't otterbox). My issue with the split case is that it didn't hold together securly and often came apart when taking out of my pocket. I like the idea that it is easy to access the ports in order to dock and use accessories but not come apart simply by holding it or pulling it out of my pocket.8 months ago

With the my Reflex for iPhone 4, the top and bottom of the case stayed together very securely.I recently purchased the Reflex for iPhone 5 and this one does not stay together nearly as well. It does sometimes begin to come apart just from removing my phone from my pocket.

The Reflex Series is designed to fit snugly on your device and should not come apart easily even with repeated pulling in and out of pockets. If you ever experience issues with that occurring, you can contact customer service.8 months ago
