Great Case After recently purchasing my iPhone 5, I was anxious to get a protective case on it before anything happened to it. I was farmiliar with the Otterboxes but had always thought of them as the super bulky, over-priced case brand. However, this case defied everything I originally thought. It is somewhat slim, but extremely protective at the same time. I must admit that after reading some of the reviews for this case, I was a little aprehensive to purchase it. What especially scared me was the comment that the case left marks on the back of the phone. Out of precaution, I applied an iPod touch 4th generation screen protector to the back of the phone. After a few weeks of use I removed the case and discovered that the case had in fact left small rectangles on the screen protector. Because they were on the protector, this was no big deal and did not deter from the overall appeal of the case, however I do suggest that anyone who buys this case purchase an extra screen protector to put on the back of the phone. In conclusion, I must say this case is outstanding for the price and protects it from any drops. I got the purple one and I love the color and get many complements on it. I would definetley recomend this case to anyone who wants to keep their device protected but not spend alot of money on a case. Thanks for a great product Otterbox! April 29, 2013
Pretty good I'm satisfied with this case. Only problem I have is I got the green one and it gets dirty so quick. January 30, 2013
Bad Case This case is a petty example for protection. The case is low quality and I don't like the choices you get. I think the design is to boring and unoriginal. This case is anabolism. January 4, 2013
Worst Purchase Ever Terrible case that ruins and de-values your phone. I bought this case for my iPhone 5 thinking that it was significantly slimmer than the Commuter and Defender Series. However, I did not feel that it was that much slimmer than the other OtterBox cases and I did not feel that the case was completely snug around the phone, which made me feel that my phone was not absolutely protected as promised. After using the case for a month, I took my phone out to clean out any dust or dirt that could have been trapped within the case and once I took out my phone, I noticed that the "internal skeleton" on the inside of the case left its small rectangle shapes imprinted on the back of my phone... and they won't come off! It's permanently there unless I replace the phone's body entirely, which is an unnecessary cost that could have been prevented if I had known that this OtterBox case had that flaw. I don't think OtterBox realized that the iPhone 5 has an aluminum back cover compared to the glass body on the iPhone 4/4S. So if you don't want permanent imprints on the back of your phone, do not buy this case. December 17, 2012

No; unlike the Commuter and Defender Series cases, the Prefix Series cases do not have a silicone flap to cover the charging port at the bottom of the phone.

I had an Impact case for my iPhone 4 and loved it. The Defender series is too bulky for me. Which of the other cases is most similar to the Impact?

The Prefix Series case is the most similar to the impact series case. It is offers the same impact resistant silicone on the exterior with the addition of an internal skeleton for addition protection.

This case has an opening at the bottom of the phone where the Lighting Cable can be easily acessed. There are no tabs or anything to get in the way of the plug ins, which is one of my favorite features of the case.
