Nice case but... Had this iPhone 4/4S Defender Series case for just over a year. It has saved my phone a couple of times so I am grateful for the protection. But I have to admit I am not at all impressed with the durability of the silicon outer shell. The headphone and charging port covers are nearly entirely torn off through daily use as is the top left corner flap next to the headphone jack. With those latter two pieces torn, the rest of the silicon case doesn't secure around the plastic case very well making the case fit too loosely around the phone (which causes an annoying vibration when using the external speaker). It has me now shopping for another case and I'm not sure if I will buy another one. February 19, 2013
BETTER THAN ORIGINAL SILICONE SKIN I purchased this skin as a replacement to the original defender skin that was getting a bit loose and sloppy around the inner hard case. This silicone is much harder and sturdier i LOVE it. much better quality than then silicone that came with Original defender case for iPhone 4S. very happy with my purchase January 31, 2013
Takes a bouncing on the road! I have the Defender case on my iPhone. I cycle in many cycle rallies. On one ride my phone which was velcro to my bike frame came loose and the phone not only hit the road at 25+ mph, but was cycled over too. The case protected my phone very well. The silicone wrap was ripped but no damage to the phone. Otterbox replaced the case, awesome customer service! My only gripe, a bit bulky and the slots (recharge flap) are a bit finicky to seal. Needs improvements So I have had my phone for less than a year and I have replaced the rubber skin once already and it is due for another. The rubber is a pain to take off to put phone in a docking station but the protection is very good. I ripped the first skin at the flap to turn on silent. The second one has been on the phone since I got it and just from being in my pocket is starting to get stretched out. I did notice that the new ones have a more rounded edge than mine, hopefully this will fix the problem. January 9, 2013
