AMAZING PHONE CASE!
My husband purchased the Otter Box for my IPhone 4S because I have a horrible history of dropping my phone. Well yesterday I was putting my 2 year old in his car seat and I put my phone on top of the car and forgot all about it until I was going 65 mph down the highway and heard it roll off my car and saw it fall in the rear view mirror and bounce 3 times on the asphalt before getting ran over by a big Dodge dually. I panic and cry and turn around to go get the remains of my phone and its is there all in one piece not a single crack on the phone, my pretty pink and grey Otter Box is broke a little but after what it went through I'm amazed. Thank you Otter Box!!!

Good protection, but not real durable.
Overall, I love this case. It does add some bulk to the phone, but it protects very well from bumps and scratches. Dust protection is so/so as every time I take the case apart there is a fair amount of dust and dirt inside the case and it has scratched up certain parts of my phone. But I work outside, in the woods and probably put this case to test at the extreme end of what this case is designed for. My only real complaint is that the silicone cover is not very durable. I have had this case for about a year and a half now and I am on my fourth silicone cover. It keeps getting stretched out to point where it is unusable. The first few times it was stretching out at the corners to the point it would just about fall off when I took it out of my pocket. This last time it stretched out over the home button so much that it was difficult to hit that button. On a positive note, Otterbox has a fairly simply warranty and replacement poicy and has replaced the cover every time with no charge and no hassles. I give them a huge thumbs up for customer service.

OtterBox Defender Series cases are not waterproof. The Defender Series case for the iPhone 4 & 4S have uncovered, unobstructed openings for the front and back cameras and flashes to avoid interference with photos.
