Good protection, bad design. I have had a Defender series case for almost a year and it has held up well. The rubber is stretching out and the case finally (after being dropped 300 times), cracked. I wouldnt think of any other case to use besides an Otterbox. When shopping for a new one I found the patriotic series and liked the board flag design. The problem I have is the flag is the REVERSE image! Come on. This is a very big oversight in my opinion. Reading the review about it being a sticker and it starting to peel off, re-enforces my descision to go with a plain Defender case. September 15, 2012
Good Case I like otterbox, had the lifeproof and that broke so i got the Bornfree otter box. I like it its a good case. But i feel that the pattern might fall of the back because im always dropping my phone on rock and gravel, down near the corner hit some loose rock and now its starting to peel off. So we shall see how long this case will last with my exciting lifestyle. Would purchase otter box again tho. August 12, 2012
Awesome I have two of the commuter series cases, both of which cracked within a few months. This case is a major step up and definitely worth the money. The stars and stripes design is amazing. The built in screen cover is one of the nicest features. July 14, 2012
Great case, bad alignment This case is amazing let me tell you, all the protection you need, the soft nice feel, the slim nice look. Almost everything is great with this case. My one issue is the picture on the back. I got the Classic Board Flag, the design is way out of line. It's not straight at all, more like a full diagonal line.The design is completely scooted over to the right leaving nothing but a blank area on the left back casing. Love the design of it, hate the placement. June 27, 2012

There is a hole in the rubber outer that appears that it would be a good use to plug your headphones into, but it does not line up with the headphone jack hole.

This is a very common question, and the answer is very simple; the hole at the top of the Defender series for the iPhone 4/4S, is not intended for the headphone jack. On all Defender models, the silicone sleeve will cover the headphone jack for added water and dust resistance. On the iPhone's in particular, there is a small secondary microphone that is located very close to the headphone jack, and therefore an opening had to be designed in the case to make the phone functional.
