Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Purchase I am a pure klutz and have in the past had to replace my phones because I have dropped them "one too many times". Although I have cracked the case (Otterbox replaced it) and the holster is not real durable the case itself is a lifesaver! April 3, 2014

Water Resistance

Q:
I have seen many websites claiming the Otterbox Defender is water resistant, I do alot of cycling in inclement weather, I need something that will not allow the ingress of water but does not have to deal with pressurised water. Will the defender series prevent water reaching the phone. P.S. Please don't redirect me to your waterproof series it is impractical for what I'm looking for.

Our Defender Series Cases are not designed to be either waterproof or water-resistant. We state that it does not protect against water under the tech specs section on each Defender Series Case page.
