Q:
January 7th I upgraded my phone to the Droid Maxx. I got with it your Otter box. LOVE IT! I travel a lot for my job and use the GPS feature on my phone. I clip the phone to my visor, so it's not in the way. One day, in February, the clip broke. I've been holding the phone now, and it's not good. A Verizon saleswoman advised me to contact you to see if you would help me. So here I am. I would be ever so greatful if you'd send me another otter box. I do have insurance on the phone (if that makes any difference).

The Droid Maxx case is made to fit only the Droid Maxx. Cases are made to fit specific phones. Do a search for your phone on the website.

It works just fine. I have a harder time lining the marks up then I do with the case interfering.

Yes. I use the Ghost 100 Wireless Charger on my Droid Maxx every night. The only issue may be lining up the phone on the proper spot for charging, but this is a charger issue, not a case issue.

Product Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 177 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by High Quality Taken One Step Further I thought I had the ultimate case when I purchased an OtterBox Defender for my Droid RAZR. After receiving a Droid MAXX as a replacement for my defective phone, I immediately ordered the Defender for it. The phone protection was again great, but this one was easier to put on my phone. There are cases out there for less money, but none worth risking damage to my phone just to save some money. OtterBox is my go-to phone case!! March 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny. "Handsome is as handsome does." My Otterbox isn't stylish or beautiful to the eye---but my phone is protected from being dropped, the screen is un-scratchable, and it's one of the best purchases I have ever made. Phones cost too much to be poorly cared for, and my Otterbox does the job. Thank you! March 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect protection Greatest protection I have seen. Somewhat difficult to assemble/disassemble. Instructions could be improved. March 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Defender for Droid XT1080 - great! I'm extremely happy with my Defender Series case for the Droid Maxx XT1080 phone. This case has all the durability we've come to expect from Otterbox, but this case also has a refined, sophisticated look and feel that was a pleasant surprise. Especially well-designed is the holster and the way the case engages with it. A satisfying click tells you you've hit the mark when holstering, and it's easy to quickly and naturally draw and re-holster. The holster also doubles as a "kickstand" and while Otterbox's product description did mention this, a few words do not do this feature justice. You turn the belt clip into a kickstand by firmly squeezing the hinge to it's maximum open-ness, where it then locks in the open position. The stand, if oriented across the short dimension of the phone, serves you well as a standard "media viewing" stand, with the case standing mostly vertical. But I prefer to rotate the clip in line with the long dimension of the phone, where it will sit perfectly stable in a more shallow incline position. Oriented in this way, it works beautifully as a businesslike desk-phone. Drawbacks are few. 1) I've noticed that it's harder to hear my ringer, but simply turning the volume up a few notches did the trick. 2) It can occasionally be tricky to touch the home buttons at the bottom of the screen because the case crowds them just a little, but I have large hands. Could just be me. February 20, 2015
