Great design with durability issues
I found the Note Otterbox to be of excellent design and utility but unfortunately not very durable. The viewing stand clip broke after a couple of months and the belt clip disintegrated after 9 months. This was with very moderate usage and no abuse. If the durability issue was solved with a more robust material I would reccomend this product highly.

Great thing, but not without week spot
I bought it almost one year ago, and I can surely assure you that it's one of the best protection for your mobile phone, you can ever buy. Of course, it doest not protect your device from the divestment in the water, but usually people don't swim with their Notes. And I really glad to see phone almost in the same conditions as it was when I bought it.
Unfortunatelly, I also have problems with the holster clips, which was broken in first week of the case own.

DUST DUST DUST .. Arghhhhh
Fantastic case except for the DUST that gets underneath the screen protector. Would have given 5 stars all around if it wasn't for this pesky design flaw. I really do not want to take the screen protector off, but at this point I don't see any other option. Would be nice if Otterbox addressed this issue and offered a fix to anyone who has this case.

Second Defender case purchase.
The cons are personal and do not reflect on the case quality.
This is my second Otterbox purchase. I bought my first one for my iPhone 4. The phone case is in excellent shape after several years. The original clip did break off my the accident was my fault. The case got caught in the passenger seat of the car and snapped. On the plus side the belt clip locks to your belt so the phone does not fall off unless the clip breaks.
The second case is for my much larger Samsung Note. In both phones the case works great with the touch features and makes holding the phones comfortable. Without the Otterbox I fear the phones would just fly out of my hand. The iPhone did a few times until I bought the Defender case.
The silicon outer layer is very durable. I am impressed with the resistance to skin oil and the durability of the hinges on the flaps.
The cons are personal and do not reflect on the case quality. A color choice would be good because it is possible to pick up your spouse's phone in a hurry. We have identical phones. There is no protection for the back camera lens so if I place the phone down the case does pick up dirt and dust over time. Dust and dirt will get into the case so you will have to clean it a few times a year.
Overall if you need a rugged case and protection this is the one to get.

No, the built in screen protector is not removable. The screen is specifically designed in the Defender series to aid in protecting the device again dust,liquid, etc. and is not intended to be removed. Removing the screen, would void the warranty.1 year ago
