Rated 5 out of 5 by Galaxy Note II I was really impressed with the quality of my Otterbox case. I do maintenance work inside and outside and was looking for a case that stood up to all harsh environments. I found this case to exceed my expectations. I had tried various other cases and found I would have to replace them after a couple of months. Before my Otterbox, I also purchased several screen protectors and had them professionally installed. The other cases would rub against the protector and then start to peel off. The Otterbox has a superior design with the screen protector part of the case and there is no need to apply it to the display. If I remove my phone from the case now, it is just like new. I also appreciate the very fast warranty service from Otterbox. April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Goodman Excellent Product built to its high quality. I like it. April 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great case I have been using Otterbox's for years. From an old Blackberry to an Iphone to my now Note2. The color options have gotten better for everything that isnt an Iphone but still fall short. The plastic insides seem to be getting a little thiner, I have broken 2 of my most recent Defender Series Cases. The clips/holsters break very easily and honestly should already come with 2 or make them stronger. I think it is about time for a redesign on the holsters. The screen membrane could be a little more fitting for the phones and get stuff under them all the time. I had to take the case apart about once a week to clean under the membrane. A few times the membrane actually came out of the case itself. I didnt mind as they were a little annoying to me anyways. Now I only have to take it apart maybe once every other month. April 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rocking Cases I bought my defender case for my new Galixy S3. The other day, I set my phone on the car roof while I loaded something into the car. I forgot about it until i pulled out and seen the phone bouncing down the street. I stopped and picked up my phone and there was no scratches, dents or dings and the phone works like a charm. There are copy cat cases out there but no one comes near Otter Box. April 14, 2014

If you go to the Otterbox website, look for the "file warranty claim" section. They have you take two separate pictures of the broken part, and upload them. They show examples of what the pictures should include. If it's within the 1 year they warranty, they will ship you the clip, for free.

Absolutely. There is a cut-out for the pen to be removed. Very handy and works great. I use my Note 2 to take notes during meetings and email them in PDF to my work email. Works great for me getting to the pen and putting the pen back.

A:
Depends on manufacturer and model of cradle/docking station. I would recommend a cradle/dock with a cord that plugs in to the micro USB port, these are commonly used in cradles/stations that hold the phone horizontally. Models that use a fixed location connector (not adjustable) would require modifications (extending the length) and possibly require you to cut off the silicone flap (on the Otterbox Defender) that covers the micro-USB port.

A:
I haven't tried to charge this in a cradle but based on other experiences with Otterboxes and iPhones, they never fit into cradles with the Otterbox Defender cases on the phones. The case adds a lot of girth and weight to the phone - but worth the trade-off for protection provided by the Otterbox Defender cases.

I plug my phone into charging cables vs. cradles - this is no problem to do. There is a small rubber that pulls down and exposes the charging port.

A:
Its highly unlikely that a docking station will work with this case. We don't test the case with other setups other than the device - usually you would need to use an auxillary cable with the docking station.
