Awesome Case This case has really held up to its word. I broke my last phone because I forgot it was in my lap and got out of my car. I didn't want to do that again so I bought the Commuter. I struggled between the high protection of the Defender and the more inconspicuous look of the Commuter. I have, unfortunately, dropped my phone out of my car several times and the case absorbs all of the shock and my phone remains untouched. Today I slipped on loose rock on a sidewalk while my phone was in my hand. And no doubt, fell screen side on the pavement with all of my body weight on top. The screen had a one inch long engraved scratch from the fall. I thought I ruined my phone. Low and behold when I removed the screen protector, my phone was still in perfect condition. I am so pleased with the Commuter. It is less bulky and still great protection! You saved my phone Otter Box! April 3, 2013
Great product, BUT... [and I'll write the identical review I left on Amazon.] …the instructions that come with the case are the ABSOLUTE WORST I have EVER SEEN on any product I have EVER owned. You have to go to Otterbox's site to get decent instructions. I know this isn't rocket science, but I've never owned a phone protector before. Once you've owned one, of course it probably takes 30-60 seconds to put one one. However, the included 'instructions' are for people who've never owned a protector before. Other than that, the case itself is very good. Actually it makes the Razr Maxx easier and less slippery to hold. I thought it would take up much more room in my pocket(s) than it actually does. The hard outer case makes it very easy to slip in and out of pockets (same ease as if you didn't have a protector). Since the 'gorilla glass' screen is very easy to clean, I found the screen protector superfluous (however, you may want to use it). [The enclosed instructions for applying it are also horrible. Again - use Otterbox's site for decent instructions, if this is your first protector.] The PRODUCT is worth five stars. The INSTRUCTIONS are worth zero stars (and I'm being generous!) I'm going to write Otterbox and tell them basically what I'm writing here (not that it will do any good, but at least I'll get it off my chest). The reason I chose the Commuter case instead of the Defender case is that I (personally) don't need a belt clip (which doubles as a stand - I think), and because of that, the Commuter case is thinner. I highly recommend the case. I also highly recommend you throw away the useless instructions as soon as you receive the box! October 13, 2012
Greatest phone protection ever This is the third otterbox I have owned for my phones. I have found them to be everything that they claim. The ability to withstand the most harsh beatings is incredible. In addition the buttons on the RAZR were hard to find. As always. otterbox came thru again! The new case also makes the power and volume buttons so much easier to locate. Otterbox makes such a dependable product I also have 3 large cases for my photo gear. September 13, 2012
