Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Love my otterbox. Would be carrying broken phone without it. I love the grip in the hand. The quality construction. I had to call customer service once for a lost part (my fault), and I have never had such good customer service. Outstanding. April 19, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by This is JUNK I bought this case because I drowned my two previous phones and because Otter Box has a great reputation. I figured a waterproof case was a great invention. When I got the new case, everyone complained about the poor sound quality coming from my phone, echoes, like in a tunnel, breaking up, etc... You need to use a blue tooth adapter and headset to get good sound. Also it is impossible to read the screen in daylight. The protective mesh over the earphone opening is very fragile and it ripped after a couple of months of use. Now the phone is not waterproof. I have given up and have ordered a non waterproof Otter Box case instead. What a waste of time and money! I will return my old case to Otter Box and hope for a refund. April 18, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Customer Service is awesome. Product not so much. After looking for a case to protect my brand new S4, I decided to go with OtterBox. I used the Commuter Series in the past with other phones and had good luck with them. Since my new phone was a little bit more expensive I wanted and heavy duty case that would protect it from the elements because as a FF/EMT, I am always getting into dirty situations. I purchased the Preserver Series hoping it was do the job. The first night I bought the case, I did the "water test" as described in the directions. Within 5 minutes underwater, it filled up with water. I contacted customer service and explained my problem. They were awesome. Within 3 days I had a new replacement OtterBox Preserver Case on door step. Now, however, the new replacement case is falling apart. There is a mesh screen that covers the front speaker and both rear speakers. The front one has completely fallen off. I have not contacted customer service yet, but intend to do so. April 18, 2014

Yes, it works but it is very hard for others to hear you. YOu must speak into the end of the unit while it is on Speaker.

I have a Qi charging adapter that fits inside the standard S4 back cover and it works fine with the Preserver. I don't think an ovesized battery/back cover will fit in the case.

This case can definitely be a bit buggy with the proximity sensor, it may work sometimes, or may never work at all.

A:
Yes it does. The only thing I have found wrong with the case is that when you talk to people the call quality on THEIR end is worse. I get reports from people I talk to that say they can hear their own echo and other such things. Call quality on my end has never been better, It just gets old hearing every conversation start with I CANT HEAR YOU, usually though they can it just sounds weird at first.

No, this case will not have a belt clip holster. It is slim and slides well in and out of pockets. It does include an optional lanyard, however.
