Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product but could be better The case has protected my phone greatly, however, it already has a few scratches on the cover and dirt can still get under it. Also, I can't open my charger port as the cover is to it is too deep. I have to use a needle to reach it and open it. Overall its a good case, it just needs to have a better design for the charging end. July 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by OK, but not worth the price It's a great concept, but poor execution. The case halves don't snap together very securely. I've had it pop open with light bumps, and would never trust it to be water proof. I've since went back to another basic case and given up on this one. July 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Flap Fail At first I thought this case to be too bulky because I have small hands but I've gotten used to it. I feel good about the protection I'm getting. Some with larger fingers may have trouble accessing the phones charging port after opening the case flap. It's a tight fit and I have to use my nail to get it open. My only problem with this case is the usb flap is falling off at the slightest touch. I will have to return this case. July 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great case with a few annoyances I purchased this case as soon as it became available for my Sprint Galaxy S5. Overall I'm very pleased with the case, but there are a few things that I'd like to point out. 1) The charger port on the phone itself is impossible to open without the tool that is provided with the case or something similarly shaped. What I did is that I removed the charger port cover on the phone itself, which takes 5 minutes or less and is easy to put back on if necessary. 2) The rubber flap for the charger port was VERY stiff originally and without fingernails it was very difficult to open up. Over time this has softened up. What I do is that I try to slip my finger under the edge of the rubber flap and bend it up from right to left. This has now created a curve in the charger flap that allows me to open it easier without compromising the protection. 3) The case adds significantly more bulk to the phone. The phone itself is very light, but this case makes it feel like a brick in my pocket. I'm okay with this because I like the protection, but for something this size, you would expect some extra features such as a kick stand or mount. 4) PUT A KICKSTAND ON YOUR CASES!!!! ALL PHONES SHOULD HAVE KICKSTANDS FOR VIEWING MEDIA!!!! IF YOU PUT A KICKSTAND ON YOUR CASES IT WOULD BE THE ULTIMATE ALL-AROUND CASE!!!! What I did was to buy a stick on kickstand and it's secured to the case. this works great, but adds more bulk to the phone because it's not built in. 5) Overall the case performs well and doesn't distort the sound quality or call quality by any noticeable amount. The camera picture quality is unaffected and the front plastic appears to resist smudges. I also like the tactile button feel for the sleep and volume buttons. This is a great case but it could've been better! July 17, 2014

Q:
As a kayaker interested in keeping his equipment from disappearing to the bottom of the sea; "floaties", lanyards, etc, are all very useful.

Q:
I already own the Defender case and it would be useful if the holster can be used when the phone is in the Preserver case.

A:
Not really. But I've tried it myself with my defender clip. It will secure in the clip but as well as the defender phone case, and because the preserver doesn't have the notch in the side to lock it into the belt clip, the clip "teeth" will begin to scratch into the preserver case.

Q:
I kayak with my phone and dropping my phone in the water usually means it will go to depths beyond the 6 feet. A lanyard would keep it with me rather than on the bottom of the sea.
