Features:
- Latch with adjustable hand strap: The Latch fits onto a tablet by itself and when it is protected by the Defender Series or Commuter Series cases. The padded strap is adjustable for a comfortable fit on all hand sizes.
- Adjustable elastic strap:: This wide elastic strap with heavy duty Velcro secures the tablet to your leg while sitting or kneeling on one leg. It is also doubles as a fixture for strapping the tablet to the back of a car seat headrest.
- Accessory storage bag: This versatile feature keeps all of your straps neatly stored in one place. It also doubles as a stand for the tablet.
- Adjustable lanyard: The lanyard attaches to the corners on the back of the Latch and can be adjusted to your desired length to hang the tablet in either landscape or portrait orientation.
- S-biner utility clip: Attach the clip to the loop strap on the back side of the Latch and then clip it to your belt to keep the tablet secure while you walk and maneuver between work sites.
- Screen cover: This lightweight cover provides momentary protection from the elements. This shield is not waterproof, but provides quick coverage from unexpected weather.

Awesome product!
This product is all that is cracked up to be. I use this case along with the defender case.
I really the versatility of this product. This is great for use in the car as invade used the most for.

Utility Series Latch Product is a FAIL!
Purchased the product from an outdoor retailer December 2012. For my needs in the field, I used the sling (shoulder strap) so I can negotiate ladders and other obstacles hands free while keeping the ipad secure at my side. After taking a photo, I returned the ipad to my side as I stepped down from my vantage at which point the ipad fell out of the elastic ears provided for each ipad corner and fell roughly 4 feet to concrete below shattering the screen. In addition, the elastic ears cover up the camera lens. I had great expectations for this product and am sorely disappointed. While the product appears to be well made/manufactured, it does not provide reliable protection needed in the real field work. Start over on this one Otterbox!

Pretty good
Let me say, this is a good latch. The handle is very convenient and useful, and the little bag may be really annoying when you're holding the iPad, but you can just take it off. The only bad thing about this case it it covers the volume things and headphone jack, so yeah. Other than that it is a good case. Oh, and the little screen protector thing, it doesn't protect against scratches, but it does against dirt and dust, which both of those love my iPad.

By the way, before I start, let me say that to everyone whose iPads are now broken becase of this product, get a case. This thing fits perfectly over my defender case on my iPad 2. I put the little "shower cap" looking screen thing on the screen whenever it's charging at night, so it wont collect dust. The little bag attached to it is really conveinient (sp?), because it is used to hold the straps that came with it, and most importantly, my cell phone (by the way, I have a little Samsung Trackphone, so don't get your hopes up by saying, "Oh, my iPhone could fit in there!". It can't. My iPod Touch wont, so don't try the iPhone. It also has a little pocket under the handle on the back that I use to put my pocket knife. Highly convienient (sp?), will recommend.

The OtterBox Utility Series Latch for iPad is compatible with the iPad 2, but one of the straps does partially cover the iPad speakers. Our Engineering Otters have determined that it does not have any impact on the sound quality or volume of the speaker.The Otterbox Utility Series Latch may be used with or without the Otterbox Defender Series case for the iPad 2.
