Worth It I tend to be rather rough with my portable electronics, and Otterbox cases have been the best I've found as far as supplemental durability goes. I am a fan of the Commuter Series cases because they add a significant amount of protection without adding an unacceptable amount of bulkiness. This particular case's added thickness and rounded contour surrounding the screen actually make the device much easier to grip with a single hand in either orientation than it is without because your thumb has something more to grip than the slippery surface of the bezel. It has protected my Nook from a few minor spills from about 3 feet high and from its daily trip to and from school in my bookbag for the past month, all while adding functionality, easy access to all buttons and ports (except the SD card slot), and a strong style. The cases sold by Barnes and Noble (or anywhere else that I've found) simply don't offer all of these benefits. As an added bonus, it still fits (snugly) into the neoprene case I originally got with the Nook for extra, extra protection! April 18, 2011
The best case for the Nook Color? I think so! This is absolutely a fantastic case for a great product. The case covers all parts of your Nook Color, making it virtually impossible to scratch or damage the device in any other way. A screen protector is included for you to put on (with detailed instructions and easy installation). The only drawback is that you cannot access the Micro SD slot without removing the case. I doubt that this could've been worked around (and even if it had, the quality of the case probably wouldn't be as great), so it doesn't require taking any points from the value of the case. Will it also include a way to hold the nook up with the hard cover like the defender case does for the iPad? The reason I ask is because my daughter is able to use the Nook to view videos and the internet in the landscape mode and it seems logical that you would make the product much like the iPad defender case in that aspect (which I totally LOVE!)..?

The film protective film you have come with it. Is it anti-glare? And is there a hard shell that goes over the front of the case?

The screen protector is not meant to be specifically anti-glare.

The polycarbonate shell covers the back and sides of the device.
