amazing
so i have had this case for like 2 to 3 weeks and i fell in love with it but i had to take the case off and i cracked the plastic part and i called otter box about it and there sending me out a new one. im glad otter box knows of to treat there customers right. :D

OUTRAGEOUS PROTECTION!!!
Wow. Since its purchase last June, I've loved my Otterbox for all the usual reasons; feels sturdier, protects from falls, etc., but now, Otterbox has FAR surpassed my expectations! I lost my phone 2 days ago. I live in Spokane, and it has done NOTING but RAIN for 2 days straight! I searched everywhere to find my phone, to no avail. This morning, I got a phone call. The caller ID said SPRINT. I answered, and the guy on the phone said "Is this the owner of the house?" I said "Well, the renter of the house, yes?" "Did somebody in your home lose a phone?" OMG! Really??? Did I hear that right? After 2 days of being rained on, my phone was found in a puddle, filthy and drenched. I said "How did you find out how to get ahold of me?" The guy at the Sprint store said he just went to the call log and last number dialed. I said I couldn't BELIEVE it still worked, after being rained on for 2 days. I also said, I was especially sad to have lost my phone, considering I had my awesome Otterbox! He said he believes the Otterbox is the ONLY reason my phone is still "alive". The rubber plugs that protect all ports obviously protected my phone! May not be "WATER-PROOF" BUT! I can vouch that the Otterbox Commuter Case for LG Optimus V (or S or whatever...) is very VERY water-resistant! It is worth every penny, and now is the only reason that I still have my phone. =D

Great protection
This case is great. Protects the phone just as it should. I have dropped my phone several times since I purchased this a few months back, I have never had a scratch or damage to my phone!
I only wish they had a choice of colors. I am also waiting and hoping for a defender series to come out (hint, hint!)

Great even for the Thrive
I have the LG Thrive/Pheonix (the Optimus variant for AT&T) and it works great. I was concerned about the mic opening and volume rocker but that was not a problem it worked fine. My phone doesn't have a dedicated camera button or a dedicated voice button so the buttons on the Commuter case are useless. But it does the job it is supposed to do. Great job Otterbox.
