The first layer of defense is a two-piece polycarbonate shell that securely snaps around the HTC One X. The inside of the polycarbonate shell features foam memory pads that cradle the device. A screen protector is built-in to polycarbonate shell to shield against scratches without affecting the sensitivity of the touchscreen.

The second layer of defense is a single piece of rugged silicone that wraps around the polycarbonate layer to form a unified shelter for the HTC One X. The sandblasted texture of the Defender Series HTC One X case keeps it from sliding of your desk or dashboard. The included holster features a swiveling belt clip that attaches to almost anything but still allows you to access all the buttons and features. Love this case With previous experiences with the Otterbox Defender series cases I decided to run my HTC One X+ AT&T without the built in screen cover and opted for a ZAGG HD cover instead. It fits perfectly and looks much sleeker than the built in cover. I've been using this case since the day I got my phone for a few months now and my phone is still in fantastic condition. The holes for the cameras, front sensor, and speaker collect dust and lint easily and have to blow it out for a quick fix. I take it apart to clean the phone frequently and never have issues with the material stretching. It fits perfect each and every time I take it off as well as the flaps that cover the micro-usb and headphone jack. I purchased my case as a open box from Newegg. I'm very pleased overall. Not Impressed I bought this case over a month ago. I have dropped it once. It fell out of my pocket and on to a the tile floor. The inner (gray) part broke in half. Also because I use my phone a lot the outer (purple) part does not fit anymore. It is just loosely hanging around the inner part. Before I had this phone I had an Otterbox for my Blackberry Bold and that one broke also. February 21, 2013
Belt clip totally unusable I've been an Otterbox customer for a long time I've had and used several of there cases over the years and have never till now had anything negative about there products. The case for the phone is as expected a hi quality & Rugged Case. But the belt clip was a total failure. Otterbox shifted from the usual design and instead of having a tray at the bottom and a clasp at the top which makes the clip very easy to use one handed. They put 4 tabs on the case 2 top and 2 bottom this design makes it improbable to use one handed & impossible to use w/o looking at it. I Have recommended Otterbox cases to any one I've talked to about phone cases and i will probably recommend this one as well with the caveat that they will have to buy a third party belt clip and throw this one in the trash.
