Not what I was expecting from Otterbox...
I don't know if Otterbox decided to change it's manufacturing process, but this case does not seem to be of the same quality as other cases I've purchased. The interior rubber is stiffer and does not conform to the shape of the phone as well. The exterior shell is tough but also does not seamlessly cover the rubber. I am worried the top and bottom of the hard cover will become snagged on something and break off as you can see the space between the layers. Additional, the enclosed screen protector does not cover the entire screen (it does cover the lcd, just not the entire glass). This allows dust and other particulates easier access to the edges of the protector.
This being said, the phone is still well protected and should be safe from many falls, scratches, and other hazards. Please understand, your phone will definitely still be safe inside this case!
I am disappointed as I always find Otterbox products to be of the utmost quality. The bottom line: this is a utilitarian case only and not a perfect match of form/function as I find other Otterbox products to be.

Almost all that I ever wanted
It came in two days early!! Whoo!
Not expecting Defender series level of protection, but great for everyday use. It definitely makes the 7.8 mm thinness much less thin, but fills up my small hands comfortably.
I didn't use the supplied screen protector, because I bought the 2-pack from the T-mo store the day I bought it. It fits fine with the one I have on there, no bubbles, no pushing.
The worst thing about this case, or the one that was sent to me, is that the skin under the front speaker/by the front-facing camera is that it's not tight against the phone. At an angle, I can clearly see space between the phone and the skin. Mine also bends up and interferes with the sensor that turns off the screen. I just got done with a call and couldn't hang up because it was flickering on and off (which prompted this review). Maybe I will have to just keep pushing it down and breaking it in, or what's more likely, I will have to ask OtterBox and see what they can do for me.

This case gets some style points.
Otter box's HTC One Commuter case offers excellent protection while adding a slight amount of bulk. It is very slick(for an Otter box case) and stylish. I did have one complaint however, I noticed that my Zagg screen protector would peel up on the side of the phone after I placed my Otter box case on. This is because the case fit so tightly that it would lift the side of my screen protector up. It took me a few attempts before I was able to correct this. To be fair, Otter box does supply it's own screen protector that comes with this case, which may work better when partnered with this case than my Zagg. I have yet to use that screen protector that came with the case so I can not confirm if it does or doesn't. Despite that minor gripe I must say I am very satisfied with this case and would recommend anyone who has a HTC One to purchase it.
