Best case available I broke 3 phones in a matter of 2 months before I bought my otter box. A friend recommended it, I didn't want to initially spend the money on it. It was worth every penny!!!!! I once dropped my phone in the middle of my brick laid road in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm/downpour, I didn't realize I dropped it until about 10 minutes later. They claim on the website that it doesn't protect against water, but my phone was unharmed and completely dry under the case. I am very brutal on my phones, and otterbox has done more than outstanding job protecting it!!! Thanks!! WORTH THE BUY!! May 2, 2012
Definately worth putting your money into... I'm not the type of person to constantly drop my phone or anything, but I was quite nervous when I purchased this phone with the size of the screen and such. Luckily, I purchased this phone used and it came WITH this otterbox case. I was extremely excited since I've heard nothing but good things about it. MY ONLY PROBLEM with this case is the fact if I put ALL 3 layers on, I can not use my volume buttons on the side of the phone. I don't know if the rubber isn't aligned right or what, and I've tried removing it and putting it back on to no avail. I've come to learn that it's a small inconvenience to protect my phone. I just had to have my phone replaced because I was NOT using all 3 layers for a while. I was only using the first plastic piece and dropped the phone. The screen stopped working completely, as if it was unplugged, and put a BIG nick in the front of the phone. Got my phone replaced and decided I should deal with not being about to use the buttons or the volume, just going into settings and doing it that way, and my phone will stay brand spanking new. All in all, I'm now an avid user of this case and wouldn't have it any other way. I've recommended it to other people for their phones, too. April 10, 2012
Good Stuff This case has passed the test of contruction sites and mountain trails. I would highly recommend this product. Not to mention great customer service. February 24, 2012
Ehh, It Didnt Blow Me Away When I first saw this case on my sisters Evo, I had to have it. After waiting the 5 long days it took to be delivered i couldnt wait to crack open the box and see the goodies inside. First off, the instructions were is solid illustration form which I found a little difficult to decipher, considering id much rather it be in detailed word form. Second, the screen protector WOULD NOT fit properly on my phone, there were atleast 15 air bubble that refused to be removed after 10 minutes of trying to push them out and removing the cover and trying to re-apply it. After wrestleing with it for a while i just pitched it because it was already ruined from all the stress of re applying and pushing air bubbles. Third the cover over the charging ports wouldnt properly stay attached, so i had to end up cutting it off. The case itself is very good at protecting, (considering ive already dropped it twice) but, at times, can be an annoying hastle. the rubber at the top that covers the headphones and screen wake buttong keeps getting caught in my pocket when i pull my phone out and is now in the process of streching and developing a gap between my phone and the rubber. Like the title says, it didnt blow me away and is a hastle but i guess protection comes at a hefty price. January 18, 2012

Protected mine when I accidentally dropped it in the middle of my street in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm/downpour! It sat out there for about 10 minutes before I realized it was out there. It was completely fine once I retrieved it!

A:
Commuter doesn't have a belt clip but I have been more than satisfied with it. I am pretty rough on my phones so I would say that if you don't mind the extra bulk go for the defender, but it is considerably thicker. The commuter doesn't add as much bulk and still protects it very well. I broke 3 phones in 2 months before my otterbox.

The Defender Series case is our only case that has a compatible belt clip/holster assembly (it comes with!). The Defender Series Case does also provide the highest level of protection for the EVO.
