Rated 5 out of 5 by Nokia Lumia Icon I love OtterBox cases for phone I don't know how many times I have had them save my phone from definite demise. My OtterBox on a previous phone saved it from the radiator fan in my jeep the case got a small gash but my phone was perfectly fine. That was proof for me that buying a OtterBox is well worth it! The case gives the phone better grip and very durable protection. Being a maintenance person there are of things my phone gets put through and if it wasn't for my OtterBox my phone wouldn't make it. The only complaint I have about the case is how dirt gets under the screen protector and the case can be difficult to take apart. August 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love otterBox I love otterboxes but the last one was the wrong one. It was a warranty replacement and evidently the nokia lumia 900 are out of date and not replaceable so got the wrong case. We ended up upgrading my phone to new one and that was ok. But otter box does not make case for new phone (nokia Lumia 1520)and now I have a case that didn't fit old phone either. WE had to purchase case from other company and am disappointed because I love our otter boxes. We have six phones total in our household. August 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by More Detailed Removal Instructions This is a great product. I too was having problems with opening the cover for cleaning because lint and dirt will get underneath the cover due the camera lens, earphone, and microphone cutouts. These instructions are to expand on Saragon's and others instructions posted earlier this year. Simply put you have to use a credit/debit card or some other thin plastic shim/spudger to get in the gaps around the large corner pins that hold the rubber cover on; there are gaps there and a couple other places where you can work your tool in. Once in, with a little effort just run your card around the edge seam until it springs open. Take your time and you won't damage your case. This is my fourth Otterbox product and I'm not disappointed. I would've graded higher but nothing is perfect but this comes as close as can be. Removal instructions would be a great help to all and should be part of the normal instructions instead of buried deep inside customer comments. I too was use to the easy opening previous products because the large corner pins would flex to open but not this new product. I noticed the Verizon rep had a very difficult time opening the empty case and that's when I really zoomed in to see what the insides looked like so I would have an idea what to work with in the future when I had to open for cleaning. Unfortunately I had to come here to see what others have done and fortunately found what I needed. The holster is an improvement over my old RAZR Defender holster but the phone still pops out from just walking around so I just carry the phone in one of my large shirt pockets or I'll put it in a large Maxpedition Tri-Carry Case which holds the phone on my belt without a problem but is quite awkward but it works. However the tripod feature of the holster works unlike the RAZR Defender which was top heavy and always fell over but is not the case with this version. The port covers are very well made and work much better than the old RAZR Defender; they actually help keep dirt and dust out and are tight-fit unlike the loose-fit of the RAZR Defender. The rubber side buttons are more pronounced which again is better than the old RAZR Defender which was an annoinance because you had to press really hard sometimes to get the buttons to register but not with this new product. The rubber cover is a harder rubber than the old RAZR Defender but still provides enough grab to hold the phone in place instead of sliding around all over the place like slick plastic covers which only look pretty but provide no useful function other than mediocre protection. My only suggestion would be for a slot/holder for a mini stylus. I know most people use their fingers or talk their texts but some people like myself with huge fingers need a stylus for using that tiny keyboard. August 21, 2014

A:
It's a separate part the phone snaps into and can be clipped on a belt although it makes the entire "package" quite bulky especially in the horizontal position (it IS adjustable). I clipped mine to the car visor and occasionally snap the phone into it keeping it out of sight and use the Bluetooth function. The clip part (or, more so, separate phone holder) has another use ... the actual spring clip can be locked open and used as a sort of a"kick stand" to sit the phone upright on, say, a table to view video or use as an alarm clock, etc., hand's free. A useful "part" of the purchase but if pocket carry is not your "thing", I think buying a holster type arrangement would be better, lighter, and more comfortable for this rather large phone.

A:
Yes it does.

The belt clip also acts like a tripod so you can use your phone to view movies without having to hold or prop up against something.

The phone will pop out of the belt clip with normal use so be careful especially when getting in and out of vehicles.

I normally don't use the belt clip because of the above reason and just put it in my shirt pocket instead; fortunately most of my shirts have large pockets to accomade this huge phone.
