slim and tough
Love the hard outer shell, it slides in and out of my pocket very easily. I left this case in the washing machine for about 5 minutes of wash time, and the phone survived! It was slightly damp and I doubt it would have survived a full 45 minutes in there, but I believe the phone would not have survived even one minute without this case. Highly recommended.

great product, but needs work
i have got to say this first; this product is A M A Z I N G.
it has saved my droid from so many drops and scratches, its not even funny. i do not know how many times i can thank otterbox for such a great case. although, i do have a few quarms about the tabs that are used for plugging up the hdmi port, the power, and the 3.5mm jack. the tabs will not hold in, and this started like the week that i bought the case. i tried removing whatever was keeping it from staying in, but to no avail. they are super annoying. and on the 3.5mm jack cover, there is too much rubber on the flat part of it, and it is conflicting with the plastic. i had to cut some of the rubber away to at least get it to stay for a while.

Decent case
I got my first Otterbox in Feburary 2011 for my Droid X. It protected my phone from the occasional drop or tumble down the steps. Then in July 2011 at the County fair a trip down the fun house slide did my otterbox in. The bottom right corner of the harder plastic piece was completly eaten through. After that it didn't fit my phone right and was constantly falling off. I AM thankful I had this case on my phone and have purcahsed another one to protect my phone while I'm outside or just drop it out of my pocket during class. I wish it was avaliable in other colors. A black case is hard to find if its in the bottom of your purse or if it gets dropped outside at night. A pink one would be nice :) Overall I would tell my friends to purchase an Otterbox. Just watch out for fun house slides!

Great purchase!
I bought this for my fiance last christmas after he purchased his droid x. He works on garage doors and is constantly outdoors and using his phone on the job. He called me today (a year later) to thank me for the case because he had just dropped it from the top of a ladder and everything was protected well!
