Good, but other phones have better I like the durability of the case, and it is very sleek. Not giving razr hd owners the option of having the usb cover is a head scratcher. It is a large opening left unprotected and I was disappointed when I saw this. May 16, 2013
Great but.... This case is great if you are looking for unbeatable protection, no other competitors case comes close. However the functionality of this case is different than one I had purchased previously. I had the Commuter case for my Motorola Razr, the first silicone skin is different for the HD case. The HD silicone skin is much tougher, which is good and bad. It's good in that it offers more protection, however the volume rocker and the power button are very difficult to push, very frustrating. Also I don't see why they didn't add a silicone cover for the HDMI and charging ports. I mean overall this case does what it was made to do, protect your phone. Although I wish they would have done more beta testing via consumers, also wish there was a better selection of colors. April 26, 2013
Great Case one flaw I've used Otterbox cases for years BC they protect your phone. I just bought a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD and bought the commuter case I was surprised to see there was no cover over the ports This was alittle upsetting to me as I like my entire phone protected. I will keep it til I find something better, but I think they should have put a cover there. The Defender has one but it's to bulky for my taste April 5, 2013
Good combination of style and function In my job I get to see a lot of people, maybe 50-100 in any given day. It always amazes me how many come in with an iphone or droid that has a cracked screen. When the investment of a few dollars significantly reduces the risk. Anyway, I have used otterbox products before, notably the Ipad2 commuter series case. I have 2 small children and the ipad has been dropped on kitchen tile without any problems. I recently upgraded my phone to the Droid RAZR HD. When looking at cases, the one sold by the verizon store seemed cheap. I then tried a model from Body Glove which was okay, but the glossy surface showed a lot of scratches. I purchased the Otterbox Commuter series case for my phone and installation was a little more thorough than most cases that simply slip on. The result however is a tough and functional cover. The most important question for me however was, is it compatible with the Motorola Navigation Dock? I can say that the answer is mostly yes. It is a fairly tight fit, the phone has to be pressed in with deliberate force. Also, the size of the case prevents the upper clip of the dock from closing. However, the phone was recognized and able to charge. I am hoping that with time and repeated use it will loosen up. November 17, 2012
